FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I sign up my son for cub scouts?
Welcome to Pack 50! We are very happy to have you. Please click on this link here for information on which forms need to be completed. We will have your new den leader contact you.

My son was in cub scouts last year. What do I need to do for the new year?
Welcome back! Please click here for information on which forms need to be completed.

What are all of the fees that I need to pay?
Each cub is required to pay an annual fee of $120. There are discounts for siblings. We ask that the fees are paid in September. If you are unable to pay the fee, we offer scholarships. Please contact either your Den Leader or e-mail pack50cubs@gmail.com with those requests. You can pay dues from this website or write a check to "Pack 50 Cubs" at one of the pack meetings.

When and where are the Pack meetings?
The Pack meetings are on the third Thursday of most months from 6:30 to 7:30. There are some exceptions. Please click here for the calendar. The meetings are at Wade Thomas Elementary in San Anselmo.

Where do these fees go?

We are looking forward to an outstanding upcoming  year with your child as a proud part of Pack 50 in San Anselmo.  Pack 50 has a tradition of serving the community, fostering development of each one of our children, and ensuring the path is clear on the road to Boy Scouts.

One of the natural questions we get asked is: How are dues used to support the outstanding programs that Pack 50 provides?

Your $120 Pack dues stay within the pack, except for a $66 registration to BSA, plus an additional $25 for new scouts. The balance of your dues stays within Pack 50 and pays for: advancement and recognition, trip subsidies, program supplies, camper scholarships, rent on facilities, food/snack costs, to name a few.  Our annual fundraising events (e.g. Popcorn sales, First Aid Kit sales or Wreath sales) make up the shortfall for anything that dues don't cover. The following graphic illustrates how dues are spent and how fundraising helps to balance the pack's finances

On behalf of your Den Leaders and the entire Pack, thank you so much for your support of Pack 50, and ensuring that dues are attended to as soon as possible.
